Terms of service

booooookmarks (b6k) is a tool for saving and organizing links. You get a Free plan or you can upgrade to Unfree. Use it for things you would do with any normal bookmarks app. Don’t use it to break the law or harass people. Either of us can end the relationship at any time.

These terms are between you and Nick Jones (“we”, “us”), based in California, USA, the operator of booooookmarks. Reach us at nick@booooookmarks.app.

You need an account to use booooookmarks. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You’re responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

One person per account, please. You must be at least 13 years old.

Free caps at 100 bookmarks and 10 folders. Unfree raises those to 1,000 bookmarks and unlimited folders.

Unfree subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with notice; existing subscribers keep their current price for the remainder of their billing cycle.

You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal in Settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle — you keep Unfree access until then. We don’t offer prorated refunds for partial months, but if something feels wrong, email us and we’ll work it out.

You agree not to use booooookmarks to:

• Save, share, or distribute illegal content.
• Harass, defame, or harm others.
• Attempt to break, scrape, or interfere with the service or other accounts.
• Resell access without our written consent.
• Use the service to spam or phish.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The bookmarks, folder names, and display name you create remain yours. By saving them in booooookmarks you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process them as needed to run the service. If you choose to make a folder public, you grant a similar license to anyone with the share link, until you turn sharing off.

We’ll do our best to keep booooookmarks running, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may be added, changed, or removed. For material reductions in functionality on the Unfree plan, we’ll give reasonable notice and a refund if appropriate.

You can delete your account anytime from Settings; that removes your bookmarks and folders from our database. We can suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms or to comply with the law, with notice when reasonable.

booooookmarks is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t warrant that it will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Link previews are generated from third-party content we don’t control; we’re not responsible for the accuracy or appropriateness of any preview.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from booooookmarks won’t exceed the greater of $50 USD or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

We may update these terms. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify signed-in users by email. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
